Taylor Lautner Settles Lawsuit, donates cash to charity

Unwilling to cave into an absurd push-up challenge, Taylor Lautner has ended up reaching an amicable agreement in regards to his lawsuit against an RV dealer.

Stemming from a snafu in which the “Twilight” hunk’s customized trailer wasn’t delivered by the expected date of June 21, Lautner has accepted a charitable donation to call off legal proceedings against McMahon’s RV.

Talking to Us magazine, Lautner’s attorney Robert Barta said, “McMahon’s RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon’s RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children’s charity with which he has a long-standing relationship.”

Barta continued, “The Lollipop Theater Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The Lollipop Theater Network works with hospitals nationwide, including the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.?”

As for claims that Taylor was suing over emotional distress, insiders tell TMZ that this just wasn’t the case – it was about holding McMahon’s accountable for their unacceptable business practices.

“This was never a suit about money. It was to hold someone accountable,” TMZ’s source tells. “Taylor never ordered a customized RV — it was a used RV which needed simple safety-related repairs. There was never any diva behavior. ‘Emotional distress’ is an automatic checked box on a fraudulent claim.”

Lindsay Lohan Released from Jail, Goes to UCLA Rehab

She’s been serving time behind bars for the past 13 days, and now Lindsay Lohan has been released from the slammer.

The “Mean Girls” actress walked away from the Century Regional Detention Facility at 1:35am this morning (August 2) and has checked into rehab.

Though she was thought to be headed to Morningside Recovery, LiLo will spend her rehabilitation time at the UCLA Medical Center. And after that’s over, she’ll have random drug and alcohol screenings until August of 2011.

Lindsay should count herself lucky, as she was originally sentenced to 90 days in prison for violating her probation, but was released early due to overcrowding and good behavior.

Lindsay Lohan Has No Meth Problem Says Her Lawyer

With her jail release getting closer and closer, Lindsay Lohan is preparing to venture straight to Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, California.

Coming as no surprise, rumors as to the “Mean Girls” starlet’s drug problems have been coming forth – with the latest chatter telling that she’s being treated for an addiction to crystal meth.

Denying the claims, LiLo’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, told Radar Online, “The report that my client, Lindsay Lohan is going to be treated for methamphetamine addiction is categorically false. It’s a fabrication, 100%. I have never seen anything that implies that my client has an issue with methamphetamine abuse.”

Unwilling to reveal the true reason for her client’s need for treatment, Chapman Holley adds, ” Lindsay isn’t a meth addict. I have no idea where that came from, but I can tell you, it’s false.”

As for Miss Lohan’s jail release, an insider tells, “Lindsay will most likely be released very late Sunday night, going into Monday morning. it is still unclear if Lindsay will go straight to rehab, or be able to spend 24 hours with her family and friends before checking in.”

Known to be a bit wild at times, to say the least, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on Friday (July 30).

With the drama unfolding on the beach alongside JWoww and Deena, the “Jersey Shore” star looked a bit out of control as local officers led her to a nearby squad car after slapping on the cuffs.

Of the situation, a source tells Radar Online, “Snooki was drunk in public.” Surely enough, the feisty brunette was later charged with public drunkenness,

Insiders add that the incident took place shortly after she had lunch with her father, with Miss Polizzi currently in the midst of shooting the third season of her popular MTV reality series.

Lindsay Lohan Is Only Spending 2 Weeks In Jail??

I swear these celebrities get it so easy!

She burst into tears when Judge Marsha Revel threw a 90-day prison sentence at her, but Lindsay Lohan won’t be in the slammer nearly that long.

According to Sheriff department spokesman Steve Whitmore, the “Mean Girls” actress is expected to serve “about 14 days” at the Century Regional Detention Facility.

Other specific details of LiLo’s incarceration include being housed in a solitary area of the jail. “She will be kept away from general population.”

Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley added that Lindsay “is asking for your prayers and support. She has stepped up and accepted responsibility.”

How the hell did she go from 90 days to 14 days? This is not right, they need to make this shit more clearer!

Kourtney Kardashian Slapped With A Lawsuit

Seriously is this the only way people in this country make money these days? This is one thing I hate about this country and the greedy people.

With so much good going on in her life, it’s a shame that Kourtney Kardashian is having to deal with a frivolous lawsuit.

According to a Radar Online report, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” babe is being sued by Flowers by Zoe for a whopping $2,331.23.

The lawsuit states, “On or about March 23, 2010, the Defendants [Kourtney and Smooch] became indebted to the Plaintiff [Flowers by Zoe] on an open book account for money due as provided in C.C.P. Section 337a, at the special insistence and request of the Defendants, for credit provided for the purchase of goods, wares, merchandise or services rendered.”

Smooch was Kourtney and her mother Kris Jenner’s kids clothing store, but it went out of business last year.

Back then, Kourtney blogged, “My mom and I opened our children’s clothing boutique Smooch six years ago. My grandmother has had a children’s boutique in La Jolla for 30 years now, and it was always a dream of my mom’s and mine to have a store of our own.”

“I used to work in the store all day, every day, stay hours after closing and was obsessed with it… Smooch was my baby! After thinking about it long and hard, we have decided to close Smooch.”

“This does make me sad, but I also know that I don’t have the time (especially now that I will have my baby boy to take care of) that the store deserves to be the Smooch that was created. It is just not the same without me and my mom there to run it.”

Kate Gosselin Wants Primary Custody

In yet another instance of family-related drama, Kate Gosselin has finally lost her patience with ex-husband Jon and wants primary custody of their eight kids.

According to a source, the “Jon and Kate Plus 8” mommy is worried for her children’s welfare and doesn’t want them spending time with their dad.

“Kate finally just snapped! Jon makes no secret of his boozing, and there have been reports about him using cocaine and marijuana.”

“Jon seems to think having fun and partying is more important than being a good dad. She said, ‘Jon’s behavior sickens me. I’ve had enough!’ She wants primary custody of the kids — NOW!”

I can’t blame ya Kate! You deserve primary custody! I mean what does Jon bring to the table anyway?
